Congratulations Azean and Izryl...

Azean and Izryl FINALLY tied the knot after courting each other for the past 8 years!! That is since my Uni days... Azean and I were in the same department... so, we share many memories of our college days together. Well you two, Congratulations and my prayers are with you. I am sooooo happy for the both of you and Praise ALLAH for blessing both of you together at last.

Ceremony 1, July 30th @ 12 noon. Aqad Nikah Ceremony.

I was late for the Akad Nikah ceremony (taking the wedding vow before the Kadhi (Religious Officer in charge of Muslim Marriages), I was the only friend from the Fashion Dept who was around, the other guests were close relatives. Azean wore a Lavender coloured lace kebaya with matching selendang or pashmina, embroided as well and Izryl wore a matching coloured Baju Melayu. Azean was made up by Marina Muhielara and the make up was superb and clean! Azean really stood out!

Ceremony 2, BERINAI BESAR 30th July @ 2045hrs

The second ceremony was the Berinai Besar (Staining of Henna)... Azean wore a gorgeous Moss Green Songket Bunga Tabur for this ceremony. This ceremony marks the first time (Duh!) of the bride and bridegroom together on the throne (Pelamin-bridal dais)- The Malay concept of the bridal pair is that, the couple are the King and Queen of The Day, hence, sitting them in state on the Pelamin is symbloic of the concept . I met up with Suraya, and my, did we have a lot of FUN keeping up with gossips and news about our ex-coursemates. We had lots of laughter reminiscing old times at uni. Well, tomorrow would take place the Marhaban (Praises to Prophet Muhammad SAW) ceremony and at about lunch time, the Bersanding Ceremony again, the second last bersanding ceremony that is!! The last one would be at Izryl's parents place soon.

Well, to the both of you, Congratulations again, May ALLAH bless your marriage with lots of Rezki and happiness...Insya ALLAH.

Really had a great time out. Adam treated us with Kerang Bakar and rice porridge at Kampung Baru, which is alive till the wee hours in the morning. With this group I started venturing out into Performing Arts, especially traditional and folk dance. This was my pivoting point as well as I get to practice all sorts of style of make up for stage. Well, this is a tribute to PESKA UiTM and its past and present members, especially from the '98 Batch till present.

Had been a very very busy weekend, and a memorable one, with a fashion show last night, the rehearsals on Saturday night, Raydy being my tour guide of Putrajaya and my PA cum Soundman for the fashion show... It really was a tiring weekend, and this morning, I went to Segamat for a meeting, shot off at 0730hrs and was back in Shah Alam at 1600hrs.... hmmm... when am i going to get some good sleep?

Saturday Morning: Went to dress up my student for a Wedding Fair at the Craft Complex @ Conlay, she wore my Johor Lama wedding costume.

Well, here are some pics taken yesterday at the launching of AVON's SURRENDER perfume at MTC... Raydy accompanied me and assisted me. I was actually helping out Encik Najib with the make-up and hair... and met with Razali and Maya from Audition 2. It was great to be with the people who brought me out into stage life. It's almost 10 years from my first experience as a dresser and make-up artist for a proffesional Theatre Production... (3 years to go to hit the big ONE-ZERO)

Ok..this entry was supposed to up on Monday... I guessed that it HAD BEEN quite a busy week again this week..so i put it today... Well, this enty is aboput the Malaysian Film Festival (Malaysian Version of the Oscars) on Sunday night at the Merdeka Hall PWTC. Ohh...i've so many foto entriess!!! :P *die laa like thisss!! LOL!

i liked the what they projected on the backdrop screen.... but innovation? its the same thing over and over again..but it complimented the performance tho....

Royal Gala Dinner

All went fine for the Royal Gala Dinner last night. Even with a mild headache, blocked nose and an irritated throat, I still managed to do the make up for my girls and dress them up as you could see in the collage I made below. The show went on fine and it was an event to be remembered by all of us from the Theatre and Music department. After all the glitz and taking center stage, after the Queen and guests had left the hall, we had a Zapin Lambak session.... and i felt soo relieved after that! Well, upcoming show would be on the 24th at Putrajaya in conjunction with KL Fashion Week. Now..... what about classes and tutorials! LOL!!!

Well, what more can I say after a memorable night. ALHAMDULILLAH!

15th July - Rehearsals and setting up

15th July 2005, setting up and rehearsal with props and part of costumes forthe Royal Gala...all went fine, but not for long, as i caught the influenza bug...sneeze! cough! its in the air..... 

This entry was supposed to be published on Friday...due to my tight schedule, its up today instead. Took this photo as I was driving back to office, in the torrential rain. I have not experienced this for some time and it was just really heavy, and visibility was bad. But since it had been very dry and hot for the past few weeks, Alhamdulillah it rained..... the following 18 hours were really cooling, till the sun shone again yesterday at about 2pm... 

the entrance to my office was flooded.... this never happened before....

a basketfull! hmm Duiran season at it's height this year... cant take too much of it, mainly 'coz its HIGH in fructose and CHOLESTEROL! but having one or two 'ulas' of it wont hurt..:P 

you could see the flesh of the Durian...ok...then..take a CLOSER look between the opening...This King Of Fruits has a strong aroma...simillar to the smell of CHEESE! he he he...but it sure tastes good..Like Cheese in equivalent.. 

well, to my non Malaysian readers...if you ever come across this thorny fruit on ur visit to Malaysia or Thailand...give it a shot!!! worthwhile getting high on the king of fruit!

First Day Of Term

Its first day of term today. Surprisingly, even after calling up my students to inform them about the class today, only one student turned up... how is that to start the term! I dont know to laugh or to cry!! :P

Anyways, before i went to work today, Raydy gave me a call to give me morale support...he called me Pepi! after his aunts Cat! Boo Hoo!!!

I actually waited for the Malaysian Idol results tonight, eventhough I had to put up with the F1 and flippin thru channels...

Well to cut things short...(yeah...i've lectures tomorrow morning - class at 0830hrs!!) I was SHOCKED to see the last couple on stage... Nita and Adam.... my heart just kinda stopped! ( So DQ!) they were both original in style and delivered their pieces triumphantly. Sadly, only one is staying and the other is going back home. And so, Nita is staying and Adam is going... NOOOOO!!!! I cant believe it! (well, I could accept the fact that this is all God's Will) but, both are really good singers and both SHOULD be in the next round (The Spectaculars). Quoting Paul Moss (our version of that guy wearing the black body-huggin-Tshirt.whats his name?? - Oh yeah Cowell) "Malaysian audience tend to vote for the wrong elements that a singer should have, and they can't judge true talents" - and looking at Roslan's face, and Gee's face...they were all DISSAPOINTED!!!

Dearest Adam,
if u ever come across this posting ( I hope you do) the moment you strut your stuff on stage Friday night, me watching at home, could feel your presence. The way you delivered the song effortlesly, it was almost perfect (mind you, nobody is, only GOD is perfect). Dont stop singing Adam... Ada hikmahnya di sebalik semua ini, didoakan semoga Adam terus berjaya dalam apa sahaja yang Adam lakukan. It's not the end. Watching you on telly shedding tears, as if I could feel how you are feeling. Insya ALLAH Adam, bigger opportunities are awaiting you, insya ALLAH. All the best to you.

Went for a meeting at my former Faculty for the upcoming Royal Gala on the 16th (yeah, thats NEXT SATURDAY!) all went fine, hopefully everything would fall into place starting tomorrow...Insya ALLAH....

And my afternoon livened up when I went for a photo shoot at Melor Interior & Resources in Wangsa Maju. Oda had asked me last week to prepare what IMPIANA readers are going to see in January 2006.. so pls be patient :P.....

Was talked into going for Ramli Sarip's concert preview at IB just now. Well, I did not regret going... I enjoyed the fusion of rock music ensemble with a full orchestra.. It was an experience one wont forget..well, me and my friends sat just a few feet away from Papa Rock himself..thus taking photos was an easy task... Well, thanks to my colleague for snapping them on my behalf....

I was also shocked with what happened in London today. somehow or other, I'd rather not comment anything, but thankful to ALLAH to be in Malaysia. Rather selfish huh?

10 years...and today really bring back memories.....

It has been 10 years. And it felt just like yesterday, me, entering the world of college life....

10 years ago, on the 2nd of July, changed my course of life. I registered and entered the world of tertiary education... which shaped me to be what I am now. I am so thankful to ALLAH for paving my course of life in this direction.

Tertiary education is obviously more challenging compared to secondary school. This is where I start to discover myself, and it was then in my tertiary level of education that I met more and more people from different backgrounds.

I still remembered that day, It was a Sunday. My sis sent me to register at the residential college, prior to that i was really nervous, it was my big step leaving home, i never left home before (well, my biggest ever step was to board the plane to UK). My parents could not send me, but I could not remember for what reason. So, my sis left me, my heart was not beating regularly... I was really high at some point because of all the stories my teacher use to tell me and some of my schoolmates about orientation week at my Uni. Ayooo! anyway, I had really great room mates.. I could still remember their names... Hatta (public admin) Jack ( AD10-my coursemate) Ben (Masscom) Mija (Hotcat) and one engineering guy from Melaka. We kinda do stuff together through out that week. It was then too, I made friends with this Mass Com guy from Sarawak... His name is Nazib...we always keep each other company... I also met a close friend...Irwan Iskak, who is some where in the States now... I wish u well Iwan Jebong! :P

One moment that I could not ever forget is, i sprained my ankle on the second last day of the orientation (the day before the freshie's games to close the orientation week) on the way to do my Maghrib Prayers at the Islamic Centre...LOL! So I was excused from doing the cross country race the next day, ALHAMDULILLAH! (well, now how i had wished I was more active in sports then...Well, no point regretting nothing is ever too late!!!). Orientation week closed as my parents fetched me home the following Sunday, and it was then I was already a FRESHIE!!! An ITM scholar... And the next four (eh..five) years was FUN! TEARS! and HEADACHES!!! Oh yeah, I was an Non Resident student because i come from the Klang Valley, but about two months after registration, I managed to get a room at one of the Residencial Halls populated by Art and Design students.... :P So many memoriesssss!!!

I stood in the hall today, waiting for freshies to come and register...Gosh, it was 10 years ago, I was just like one of them depicted in the foto's posted below... Looking at them and being where I am now...gosh..I am ever so thankful to ALLAH... without HIS blessings i would not be here now.

It is a loong journey....a long one, and so many things to discover, to do and to cherish.

I would always cherish those days. It's been 10 years...10 years.... would there be another 10? Only ALLAH knoweth all.

Well, Planet YM had their bowling match today...at the UE3 complex in Cheras. So, Raydy, Leo and Kie decided to go and meet up the rest of the Yahoo Chatters, The event was simple yet organised, and it was great to finally meet up other Chatters (Lowra, Fully, Zest) finally in person...and TT ofcourse! :P

It would be Raydy's Birthday tomorrow... So this all happened by chance... and we kinda celebrated Raydy's Birthday in advance at a stall in Miharja....

Very Mundane Saturday...but I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT!

Gosh, this foto bloggin business is really gettin on to me..esp goin around with my Nikon Coolpix... Well, my day started at 10 today as i had a late night out (yeah...got home at quarter to 5!) and I settled the cooker for the kitchen at my mom's flat and rushed off to Shah Alam to collect my rubber stamp at Kompleks PKNS...but the guy at the shop did one really silly mistake! he misspelled my name! and my writing on the instruction form was definitely CLEAR! well, he promised to compensate me with a new rubber stamp by 10 am tomorrow. Not knowing what to do next (after all the spedo-dedo at the shop) I ended up going to Sect 2 to buy some barbequed Ikan Keli....mouth watering and the aiyak asam is superb!!! and as i was buying myself Limau Blend, I thought of Leo and was wondering what he was doin, so I decided to give him a tinkle...and he was WIDE AWAKE! so I asked the Abang to add another 2 portion of the Calamansi Juice, with dried plums that is :P.....and headed straight to Leo's. When I arrived, they supplied me with the happenings post Malibu earlier on in the morning, and me, having bitten by the Foto Bloggin' Bug...took out my camera and started to......yes...take snapshots of two of my close friends and kindred spirits....Kie...I am sure that you are going to be kinda SENTAP with this....U ada GELANG TANGAN aje kan...but look what I HAVE!!! Eat Ur Heart Out HONEY!!!! *maati la akuuu!!!!!

They are staging Dato' Nordin Hassan's Bukan Lalang Ditiup Angin..... so ..lets lah ke lokasi shooting dan gelagat2 student2 kiew ini itieww.....lets!...

Aiyoh! penat ok! kaedahnye i silap send to my other blog ekeke... anyways, this is..erm..again...for the third time typing this...the Dining/Sitting area of my Mom's flat in Shah Alam. Its still ablank canvas and i am praying i would get to redecorate it etc...and moving in soon, Insya ALLAH.
